About Purchase Ink Archive

Tattoos are more than just ink on skin—they tell stories, mark milestones, and bring people together.

Purchase Ink Archive is dedicated to documenting the tattoo culture at SUNY Purchase by connecting students, alumni, and faculty who share a love for tattoos.

With over 20 years of experience getting tattooed, I’ve seen how tattoos can spark conversations, forge connections, and serve as powerful forms of self-expression. SUNY Purchase is filled with people whose ink carries meaning, artistry, and personal history. This archive is a space to share those stories, celebrate tattoo culture, and strengthen our creative community.

I created Purchase Ink Archive as both a passion project and a way to showcase my skills as a graphic designer. Beyond preserving the tattoos of our community, this project allows me to explore the art form on a deeper level.

While Purchase Ink Archive welcomes all tattoo stories, we strongly advocate for safe tattooing practices. Many submissions include tattoos that were not professionally done, but we do not condone unsafe tattooing. Tattoos should always be done in licensed, professional shops to ensure safety and quality.
